Scientists have created a technology that will simplify the production of nanoribbons from tungsten diselenide and improve their properties. To do this, silver particles were applied to the ends of the ribbons using a laser.
In this material, reactions under the influence of sunlight occur with an efficiency close to 100 percent. In the future, this technology can be used to generate energy, purify water and synthesize valuable chemicals, RIA Novosti reports. The study was carried out with the participation of colleagues from Austria.
