These weapons are apparently used by 55-ton Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers, although French CAESAR or towed FH-70 wheeled self-propelled guns may also be used.

Therefore, it is not surprising that projectiles are tested in this way in a real combat situation.
