Igor Kechaev was a close friend of the Electrotheater and Boris Yukhananov, his classmate at GITIS (Efros and Vasiliev course) and colleague, assistant on theater and television projects, worked as assistant director on the opera “Octavia. Trepanation”.
“Igor will remain in our memory as an extraordinarily talented actor, a man with a brilliant soul and a true romantic with a rare gift of empathy,” the obituary notes.
The artist’s farewell took place on the morning of September 15 in the morgue of the Sklifosovsky Institute.
Kechaev played Inter in the 1988 drama “My Name is Harlequin” and Igor in the 1990 film “Leningrad. November.” His projects include “Death Behind the Scenes”, “Paper Soldier”, the series “Sasha + Masha” and others. As a director, Kechaev made films and television series “Trace”, “Camrade Policemen”, “The Neighbor”, “I Want to Believe You”.
