“In every appeal to me is a person’s destiny: his life, his honor, his health, his well-being, his professional reputation and his family relationships,” the Ombudsman wrote.
As an example, Moskalkova cited the story of an orphan girl from Volgograd, who for more than ten years was not provided with the housing required by law for an orphan. The girl lived with her grandmother, when her grandmother died, her apartment was transferred to other people and the orphan girl found herself on the street. After her appeal to the prosecutor’s office, the fact of violations was confirmed and a demand was sent to the court for the regional authorities to provide the girl with housing.
However, the court decision was not implemented.
“We established cooperation with the prosecutor’s office, the FSSP, as a result, the guilty officials took administrative responsibility and the girl received the long-awaited housing in June of this year,” said Tatyana Moskalkova.
