French club PSG defeated Borussia Dortmund in the first round match of the Champions League group stage. The match took place in Paris and ended with a score of 2-0 in favor of the hosts.
Both goals were scored in the second half. In the 49th minute, striker Killian Mbappé converted a penalty, and in the 58th minute, Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi, after an assist from Portuguese midfielder Vitigny, consolidated the Parisians’ advantage.
In the next round, PSG will play as a visitor against the English Newcastle and Borussia will host the Italian Milan. The matches will take place on October 4.
