According to the regional State Traffic Inspectorate, the accident occurred on Saturday around 5 a.m. local time (Moscow time +1) at kilometer 467 of the P-208 highway in the city of Ershov.
The driver of a crowded Lada Largus car crashed into a support of a power line, as a result, three passengers died on the spot, the driver himself and three other passengers were injured.
A girl born in 2002, a woman born in 1964 and a man born in 1994 died.
The driver, born in 1970, a passenger, born in 1964, and the men, born in 1993 and 2001, were taken to hospital.
“All the circumstances of the incident are being clarified,” the department’s press service reports.
